DGM Productions is a highly recommended North East video production service that aims to provide high quality video for an affordable price.
DGM is ran by myself - David. Filmmaking is my passion and the ability to entertain people through an audio-visual form, captivated me from an early age. I have 10 years of experience in video production, and my professional, bespoke, One-on-One service enables me to take the idea that's in your head, and bring it to life. I take pride in all my work and establish excellent relationships with those who commission me.
With a Degree in Digital Film Production, and two Royal Television Society awards, my skills cover every aspect of filmmaking including camerawork and sound recording, right the way through to postproduction editing and special effects. I hold a full clean UK driving license and I am also DBS checked, as well as having all the appropriate insurance cover (worldwide) for video production. I am linked with other local creatives and together we provide a pool of services, so if there's something I can't do, I will likely be able to get it covered for you.
For those wondering, the name 'DGM' stands for 'David's Gone Mad', which was a series of comedic home videos that began in 2009
and ultimately got me into filmmaking.
Since then, the abbreviated name has stuck.
During 2019, I invested greatly into DGM Productions, turning it into a full time business and improving my equipment to a 4K UHD standard.
In February 2022, and again in 2023, I won the 'North East Videographer of the Year' award at the English Wedding Awards.
For 2023 onwards, I am focusing on the motto "Memories of life. For life."
I am still taking on promotional video work, (especially for small businesses that need the help) but I want to push positivity through providing those special videos that capture life's most iconic moments.
- I use Blackmagic 4K cameras. I can use these cameras on a number of rigs from gimbal stabilisers, to sliders.
Additionally, I own Go Pros for extra recording at events, or underwater shots. I have an Insta 360 for 360 degree recording as well as super wide shots up to five metres high in any situation. I do also own a small drone which can compliment videos, or, alternatively, I have partners who can provide a higher level of drone footage whilst I am filming on the ground.
- As for sound, I have Rode mics, including wireless recording.
- Finally, I own a range of LED lights, with some featuring RGB capabilities.
I also own a smoke machine for music videos.
All of my videos are edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
